Indiana scholarships are more easily available than other state specific scholarships. The most important criterion to avail these scholarships is to be a legal citizen of any city of Indiana. Hoosier Scholar Award – This award is offered by the Indiana State University. It offers $500 to 790-840 freshmen to study in Indiana College. Also, it is a merit based scholarship and is offered to the students who are considered to be minority.

Indiana Broadcasters Foundation Scholarship -It offers $500 to $2000 up to 14 undergraduate students to study in Indiana College and majoring in journalism or broadcasting.

Indiana Engineering Scholarship awards $750 each year to three undergraduate students to study in an Indiana College majoring in engineering.

Robert C. Byrd Honours Scholarship- Indiana awards $1500 each year to 550-570 undergraduate students who are residents of Indiana.

  • Indiana Farm Bureau Insurance Excel Awards $2000 to $3000 to up to six undergraduate students each year who are legal residents of Indiana.

  • IHC Foundation Scholarship-These scholarships are offered by the Indiana Health Care Foundation and grants funds to those students who reside in Indiana and wish to pursue studies in nursing. Apart from this the student must hold either a high school diploma or general equivalency diploma.
  • COX Scholarships-These scholar programs are provided to the hardworking Indiana residents who are keen to work under direction of a faculty mentor on research or scholarly activities. These students are provided with two scholarships at the same time which are both renewable for four years. Applicants must have a competitive SAT score of 1300.

Indiana Grants for College

Ball State University offers a variety of scholarships to freshmen and currently enrolled students who are children or grandchildren of active members of alumni association under Alumni Association Legacy Scholarship. Also, it offers scholarships to full time undergraduate students with some involvement in alumina association. Other than these there are many other scholarship plans depending upon the course opted and area of concession.

Indiana State University offers a scholarship named 21st century housing and book voucher scholarships which are awarded to freshmen applicants who have a minimum of 3.0 cumulative GPA and a strong SAT score.

If you are unable to be awarded a scholarship or grant in Indiana, a student loan is another option to consider. Even though the money you borrow will need to be repaid and it also has an interest rate attached to it, the interest rate is very low.
